2021 was a year of growth, innovation, and investment at Trumid. We expanded our network of users and partners and delivered new features that led to record volume and participation. We stayed committed to collaborating with our network of users to develop a variety of new tools and product enhancements to keep up with our clients' needs in an evolving market.
To support this year of rapid growth, we added new personnel and skillsets across our organization to help us scale and stay at the leading edge of our industry.
2021 in Numbers
With a busy year behind us, let's recap some of our biggest highlights.
Launched Trumid 3
Trumid 3 is the newest version of the Trumid trading platform. It was designed to optimize the pre-trade experience for our users, seamlessly integrating market data and protocol flexibility within one application. If you’re not on the new platform, reach out to your Trumid coverage to learn more.
We introduced Emerging Market (EM) trading throughout 2021. Additions to the EM team and increased EM-specific product functionality resulted in trade volumes tripling throughout the year. The Trumid EM network gained significant momentum in 2021- please reach out to your Trumid coverage to learn more.
We are excited to have added 7 new dealers to our Attributed Trading network in 2021, several of which are strategic partners. Each of these dealers will utilize our protocols to provide connectivity and liquidity directly to clients.
We are dedicated to expanding our client network and activating our user community and are thrilled to have added these important dealers to the Trumid liquidity pool.
Trumid’s AT protocol now has 24 streaming dealers with that expected to go to 35 by end of 2022.
We elevated Michael Sobel to Co-CEO alongside Founder and Co-CEO Ronnie Mateo. The appointment of Co-CEOs is a formalization of Trumid’s existing operating model, with each CEO focusing on his respective strengths.
Bryan Harkinsalso joined the Trumid team in November to lead our sales organization, in the newly created role of Chief Revenue Officer. Bryan brings extensive experience in the electronic trading space from his prior executive roles at CBOE and we are excited to have his insights drive further growth in 2022.
We strive to make workflows more efficient and to be a nimble technology firm that can respond to opportunities within our market. Request for Trade ‘RFT’ and Axe Finder are two prime examples of this in 2021.
RFT functionality significantly reduces time from inquiry to execution to a matter of seconds, while our Axe Finder tool delivers an organized way to intersect and benchmark users’ trading interests with dealer casts.
